I am shocked that I’ve only gained 8 lbs. One, because of how much I ate while we were in Pittsburgh (4 lbs were there!). Two, because I think it must all be in my belly. This is a flattering picture that does not do justice to how pregnant I feel this week!
20 WEEKS WITH KYLIE:
- feeling much better with nausea, but easily out of breath
- bottoms of feet hurting
- sleeping well
- no cravings
I had some nausea last week, but it was mostly because of motion sickness. I always get car sick in Pittsburgh, and I felt bad on two of our flights. The zofran still helped… do they prescribe that for motion sickness?? I’ll be sad when I don’t have any more (don’t be concerned, I think I’ve taken 5 in the past few weeks). I’m not having any of the dizzy of out of breath problems that I had with Kylie. My BP is higher (more normal) and I’ve been better about drinking and walking a few times a week.
I did get some braxton hicks this weeks which made me a little nervous. It was the day after we had flown home and I hadn’t been drinking enough and had been doing more bending and lifting with the travel. I rested all day and didn’t feel anything today.
I felt the baby move way earlier in this pregnancy, and I can sometimes see it on the outside now! Random symptom – I have a patch of skin on my stomach that burned with Kylie and the same patch is bothering me again. I’m waiting to see if my leg swells soon, because I remember it started during VBS with Kylie.
I have been in denial, but when we came home, I looked in the fridge and the first thing I wanted was pickles. I’ve been liking pickles for a few weeks but was pretending it wasn’t happening. I finally risked the teasing and put them on the grocery list for Josh. Got to love being a stereotype! Bread and butter are the best – sweet and sour. I still like fruit, too.
Oh by the way it’s a girl, haha! We might have a first name, but we aren't for sure yet.
